The MC2 is the most widely used electric micromotor in the world, renowned for its reliability and endurance, and has consistently proven its worth over the years. With a rotation speed ranging from 60 to 40,000 rpm, it delivers remarkable performance. Designed and crafted in Switzerland, the MC2 offers exceptional value, and is also available in the MicroSeries version with a short nose and LED light featuring adjustable intensity. Additionally, it can now be upgraded with a set for the old MC2 Isolite 300. Its complex mechanical design includes a rotor with multiple windings, collector, and brushes, and a stator with a permanent magnet. Regular maintenance is required as the carbon brushes wear out and need replacement approximately every 18-24 months. Care must be taken with carbon dust, which can reduce the life of the micromotor bearings and potentially interfere with other electronic devices. Furthermore, carbon brushes cannot be washed or sterilized as they absorb moisture from the air compressor.
